You can choose to have a private cooking class or a cooking class party for about 4 – 10 people. Regardless of what option you choose, there will be plenty of food to eat.
The cooking class will be at your house, you can choose a one /two / three hour cooking class. I have provided a menu for classes based on time. However, the menu can be tailored to suit your needs, food preferences or accommodate any food allergies.
The one-hour class – has an option of Tea and Appetizers or simple quick to cook meals.
The two-three hour class is a Basic Indian meal, main dish ( daal) , 2 side veggies (potatoes, eggplant), rice and a roti.
In the three-four hour cooking class, we will be working a little harder to make our own sauce with (onion, garlic,ginger,tomato) from scratch for Rajma or Cholle ( Kidney or Garbanzo beans) and a more complex bread like naan or alu parantha ( potato stuffed flat bread)
You will do the shopping from a list sent to you after we talk about the menu. If you prefer I bring spices and shop then we could talk about that as well.The rates will depend on the number of people and the hours spent on cooking.
I will provide recipes to take home at the end of the class. It will be an enjoyable experience in your own home with your family or a group of friends. After the cooking class — Indian cooking will no longer seem like an enigma.
