Jan 16th – Indian Dinner for a Cause “Xteam Robotics” at the Creperie

 

This Menu is comfort food for the winter from Punjab and Hyderabad ( states of India), might  make changes depending on availability of fresh vegetables & mint…
Freshly made, from scratch with all organic vegetables from the farmer’s market & organic spices
It is all Gluten free as well….

Reservations are full for this dinner as of now the next dinner will be on Feb 13th…………

Chicken  Masala- Hyderabadi Style : Chicken(local & natural) cooked in a blend of sesame, coconut, peanut, cayenne pepper

Pulao :  Basmati Rice seasoned with cumin, tumeric and fennel. Flavored with lemon or eggplant & tamarind ( can’t seem to decide as of now)

Gobi : All Organic  Cauliflower,  &  carrots and potatoes  dry roasted in a combination of mustard, fennel and cumin seeds and flavored with coriander powder and Amchur ( Mango powder)

 Daal MaharaniOrganic Sabat urad ( black lentils) seasoned with creamy tomatoes, garlic, ginger and Garam Masala 

 Kadee- Pakore: homemade vegetable dumplings ( cabbage, spinach & onion, garbanzo bean flour) dunked in a golden yellow yoghurt based sauce flavored with tumeric and other spices

Naan on the griddle: Leavened flat bread ( dough of organic white flour & yoghurt) cooked on the griddle  ……….. [it was a hit at the last dinner]…….  – Gluten free option available, just let me know ahead of time……..

Pudina Chutney : Mint, Tomatoes and Dates blended together with spices to make a spicy-sweet-tangy chutney to add that extra zing to the meal

Homemade Black spicy sauce can be used to increase spice levels and a Yoghurt sauce to reduce spice

Drink – Chai Tea
Freshly made hot, creamy, fragrant with black tea, cinnamon sticks, fresh cardamom, ginger and enough sugar to bring out the spice flavor.

Dessert – Sooji Halwa
Delicious Semolina pudding – Roasted semolina flavored with cardamom and sucanat ( evaporated cane juice)

The meal will be served Buffet style

The price of the meal is $ 30
