It just felt like a huge family party at home, where everyone was having a good time. Except that, there were 40 people……….
Here was the Menu for May 15th
Lemon Rice – Rice dish seasoned with mustard seeds, tumeric, lemon juice and cashews
Raita – Yoghurt blended with grated cucumber, cilantro and garam masala.
Chicken Masala– Chicken cubes simmered in a blend of onion, ginger, garlic, coriander, cumin, tomatoes and other spices
Vegetable Korma – Roasted Cauliflower, peas, carrots, beans and paneer (homemade cheese) cooked in a spicy-sweet creamy tomato sauce
Lemon Rice can be enjoyed with Chicken, Vegetable Korma & Raita
Dosa – Crepes from India – The batter is a blend of brown rice and Urad dal (white lentils)
Alu – Boiled potatoes seasoned with tumeric, coriander, cumin and a dash of lemon juice
Sambhar – Soupy masoor dal(red lentils) seasoned with mustard seeds, tomatoes, cilantro and a dash of tamarind
Chutney – A blend of coconut, cilantro, and Serrano peppers with a seasoning of mustard seeds…
The Dosa is eaten with Alu, Sambhar & Chutney
Drink – Chai Tea: Freshly made hot, creamy, fragrant with black tea, fresh cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and enough sugar to bring out the spice flavor.
Dessert – Burfi: A Fudge made by simmering milk, coconut, sugar & nuts Dinner time is from 6 PM – 8 PM, Cost $30……
